Get One More Hug
A delightful new book has come my way, just in time for holiday gift-giving, and I had to share it with you!
One More Hug, by Inside Edition’s national correspondent, Megan Alexander, is a sweet little picture book chock-full of unconditional love and self-reliance.
The little years are when the seeds of security and acceptance are planted. No one knows this better than Megan, a mother of two darling boys and a brand new baby girl! Throughout the day, the night, the weeks, and months of big and small anxious events, she plants a seed, a kiss, a hug… that grows and blossoms into courage and comfort in her garden of love.
Time passes, children grow, and there comes a time when they need to muster all the courage inside them and step out into the big wide world. Around that same time, a metamorphosis takes place and they become the hug-providers, often to the mothers who taught them the practice in the first place, closing the circle.
Such is the journey of the little boy in the book, whose anxious moments (aka opportunities for growth) are always met with One More Hug, giving him the foundation he needs to one day leave the nest and experience life on his own.
